Seen & Heard: RHOA Kim Zolciak is preggers and still smoking

So if you are an avid viewer of the the Real Housewives of Atlanta, you might remember when Kim met Atlanta Falcon's player Kroy Biermann  at Sheree Whitfield's "Atlanta's Dancing with The Stars" charity performance.  Kim, 32 and Kroy, 25 apparently hit it off because the RHOA recently confirmed she is almost 4 months pregnant by him.

Way to go Kim. Guess she had to keep the pipeline of sponsorship flowing somehow since it looked like her business tycoon boyfriend, "Big Poppa" Lee Najjar was never going to actually divorce his wife. Getting pregnant by the young Kroy who was a 2008 fifth round draft pick and who's contract is about $400,000 a year will probably not keep her in platinum and Prada the way that "Big Poppa" did, but he has potential and I think she may actually really dig this guy!

And perhaps Kroy can offer Kim some direction. Let's start with smoking while pregnant and in public. Kim this is a "No No"! Not only should you not smoke while pregnant, you shouldn't be caught doing it in public where anyone with a camera phone can catch you! Click here for story--> Kim Zolciak still smoking.

WTF Friday: Black Friday 2010

Shopping on Black Friday is as traditional as turkey and football on Thanksgiving. People line up hours before the doors even open at places like Best Buy and Macy's to be the first one in the store. Some people miss dinners with their families to camp out in the stores parking lot. WTF?! Take a look at the scene at an Indiana Tagert store last night:


 



I love shopping...but really? For Target? Is it really worth missing time with loved ones, and a great meal to line up to be first in when Target opens? Now if this was the scene at Neiman Marcus or the Gucci store maybe...but it's Target! America we must get our priorities in order!

The cougar and the cub

It seems as I get older the guys that hit on me become younger! At first I was resistant, thinking that a younger man would lack the maturity it takes to date me, but then I reconsidered…a lot of older guys lack maturity too. I often thought that an older woman dating a younger man spoke to her lack of maturity as well.

My mother (who is jokingly calls herself a cougar) typically dates men who are substantially younger than she is. Both of my brothers are in relationships with women who are older than them. And my closest friends date younger guys exclusively.

What is the attraction between the younger man and the older woman? Is it because the cougar offers the maternal instinct that a cub desires? Is it that women are broadening their horizons much like men have been doing for years? I am starting to embrace this cougar thing. Younger men seem to have less baggage and are fun to be around. Since the average women reaches her sexual peak in her forties, and men in their twenties; does it just make sense that more couples are finding that they are most compatible when their ages correlate with their sexual peaks? 

I've opened my mind to the possibility that this cougar concept can actually work, but here's a few items that need to be considered:

• Is he over 21? If not there is no need for further consideration. An adult woman must be able to enjoy adult activities with an adult man. For example if he's 19, you two can't share a glass of champagne or get into a night club together.
• Is he established? I can't be patient while a young guy catches up. He'll need his own place because I can't be comfortable hanging out with him at his parents house. He needs to be done with college because I can't float anyone's tuition bill. He needs gainful employment because my expectations of him are the same as if he were older so going out and taking trips should not cause a financial strain on either one of us.
• How does he handle his business? If he blows his money on video games and candy while his real bills pile up; he is not a viable candidate for HiYelaGurl's cougar club.

As long as the cub is a mature adult I guess there isn't anything wrong with a cougar and a cub being together. Its gonna take some getting used to for me to be comfortable with dating younger men myself. I guess I just need the right young man to convince me it's a good idea. . .

The Week’s HOTNESS Edition: Soul Singer Dwele

If you know me, you know I have a jones for soul music! One of my very favorite soul singers is Dwele. Detroit native Andwele Gardner first gained recognition for singing the hook on Slum Village’s “Tainted” single.  His solo albums include “The Rize”, “Subject”, “Some Kinda…”, and “Wants…World...Women…”.  He was also featured on Kanye West’s “Flashing Lights” single, and more recently on Kanye’s “Power” single. The Code

I guess by now all of us have heard that Desperate Housewives actress Eva Longoria and her NBA husband Tony Parker are splitting up. The details are unfolding but so far it seems that Tony had been carrying on with his former teammate Brent Barry’s wife, Erin. The two couples are friends and have been known to hang out together. This is totally against “The Code”.

The point of “The Code” is that there are certain boundaries and standards that should be adhered to when it comes to love and relationships. Some things you just don't do!

Both couples are in the process of divorce in the midst of the scandal.

WTF: Incarceration, where the famous go to get away.

If you are rich and famous and need to go away to clear your mind, incarceration may be a perfect vacation destination for you. Though I have never been, I am thinking it is something like an exclusive resort the way that celebs flock to it!

Rapper Gucci Mane last made arrangements to go back to incarceration exactly one day after coming off an incarceration getaway.  Rapper T.I. couldn't even complete a full promotional tour before itching to get both he and his wife Tiny a ticket to incarceration. Lil Wayne just got back from an incarceration trip; wonder how soon it will be before he goes back? Singer Lyfe Jennings just went back for his second extended stay. And there's a particular incarceration place in Maricopa County, AZ that DMX likes so much that today he was sent back for his sixth stay! Other rappers like C-Murder like it so much he's never coming home!

What's so great about incarceration as a spot to vacation? Is it that the pressures of freedom become too much for the rich and famous that they go to incarceration for rest and relaxation? Socialites, Paris Hilton and Nicole Ritchie even vacationed there briefly. Even Martha Stewart has had a suite at incarceration. Lindsay Lohan has been trying her hardest to gain entry into the exclusive incarceration resort for years to no avail. What else does Lindsay have to do to be allowed access to an urban minimum security condominium complex that boosts cement and steel architecture and minimalist decor?
