Vivica Fox gets engaged to night club promoter boyfriend

According to Access Hollywood, Vivica A. Fox is ready to plunge into marriage again.  Omar “Slimm” White, the 26 year-old Atlanta nightclub promoter that Vivica has been dating for over a year, reportedly popped the question to the 46 year-old actress while celebrating the holidays on South Beach in Miami on December 26.

Viv was seen rocking the 8 carat ring at Miami Heat player LeBron James birthday dinner later that week.
This won’t be the first marriage for Vivica. She was married for 4 years to Christopher Harvest, an aspiring rapper who went by the name of 6’9”. She was also involved with rapper 50 Cent (please see yesterday’s blog post to understand why I am not mad at her for dating him).
Oddly enough, Vivica was rocking a strikingly similar ring on her left finger over the summer that when asked, she said she bought for herself.

Perhaps what was a “pre-engagement” from the summer turned into an “engagement” ring in the winter.  I’m happy for Vivica. She looks happy in an “I’mma have to do twice as many movies now because I got a new dependent“ kinda way.

This Week's HOTNESS! A love scene...

Today's HOTNESS is not actually a person...it is a love scene.

Over the holidays I had the pleasure of seeing the movie "Gun" starring Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson. And while I wasn't very impressed with the movie itself...I was VERY impressed with the talented Mr. Jackson's performance in the movie's only love scene.

See the clip here:

PARENTAL GUIDANCE SUGGESTED! ADULT SITUATIONS! NOT SAFE FOR WORK! VIEW AT YOUR OWN RISK! NOT SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN!

Impressive! I hear that Curtis has a couple of videos floating around with stellar sex scenes. It is becoming quite clear to me why Miss Vivica was a little disgruntled when their relationship ended! Not since Tyrese Gibson in 'Baby Boy' has a sex scene (in a movie) held my attention like this one has! This scene was 52 seconds of visual pleasure! Fiddy put on a stunning performance and the co-star AnnaLynne McCord (who by the way was a super flawless bad bitch throughout the movie) held her own too. The movie was about... well... I really don't know what the movie was actually about, but it was this single scene that made the movie worth watching!

Kim Kardashian's new look!

So it looks like Kim K is trying to prove that she is a “sister”. No I don’t mean because she has “black” in her (low blow I know).

Kim Kardashian debuted an extra Afro-centric braided style after hinting on twitter last week that she was going to change her look.  She was seen walking the streets of LA on Thursday (makeup-less) with the “new look”. The cornrows are basically a variation of her famous middle part hairstyle, except with braids (maybe she needs beads on the ends). I personally don’t care for this look, not even when Alicia Keys rocked it. *HiYelaGurl Shrug*
Maybe the new look comes at a time when she is set to promote her new music ventures (I thought the public decided that singing was something we did not want from her).  She’s even got a new video featuring Kanye (no not THAT kind of video, but a music video).
I really wish mama Kris or the Kardashian sisters had talked Kim out of both the braids and the singing. Kim and Kourtney will be taking New York in a spinoff of the 'Keeping Up with the Kardashian's' franchise this month (Click here for details on new show). Maybe this hair is part of the storyline (YIKES).

The New Year's Eve Hangover

If you are like me you are still recuperating from your New Year’s Eve activities well into the next day. My New Year’ Day consisted of smeared makeup and no energy. I can only imagine what those who drank too heavy had to wake up to: uncertainty and bad decisions. The New Year’s Eve Hangover.

·         I wonder how many relationships were ruined over New Year’s Eve drunkenness?
·         I wonder how many one night stands happened due to New Year’s Eve drunkenness?
·         I wonder how many children were conceived due to New Year’s Eve drunkenness?
·         I wonder how many arrests occurred due to New Year’s drunkenness?
The New Year’s Eve Hangover is how I describe the decisions that were made in the drunken celebration of a new year and how they will affect the new year and beyond. The precedence has been set for 2011.
Happy New Year! May the best of your 2010 be the worst of your 2011!

HiYelaBoi's Tweef: The Chris Brown/Raz B Twitter Beef

I know many people are still stuck on Facebook and haven't upgraded their social networking experience to include Twitter, so they missed out on the spectacle that went on yesterday between Chris Brown and former B2K member Raz B.

I struggled with whether this was an issue I wanted to address on this blog because I simple can not tolerate and will not instigate buffoonery but since these two decided to take it public, so will I.

I'm not sure what made the "tweef" pop off but I know that started with comments that Raz B made about Rihanna and escalated to the police looking for Raz B's brother in connection with threats made on Chris Brown's life. The Twitter exchange included insults about Chris Brown's domestic violence and woman beating issues, and Raz B's alleged rape/molestation.

Raz B's brother who goes by the name of Rickey Romance, took to video to make threats Chris Brown for the comments he made against  Raz B.

This R&B beef must stop! Can't this all be settled with a dance-off refereed by Steve Harvey like on the movie "You Got Served"?

Assets and Liabilities: The Business of Relationships

As the new year approaches, now is a good time to evaluate the people and relationships in your life. I've been told that a person is a combination of their five closest people to them. What does those five people say about you? Are the people you surround yourself with assets or liabilities?
One of the closest people in your life is clearly your significant other. Sometimes it is difficult to accurately assess your romantic relationships. Because you love this person with your heart; thinking of your relationship in terms of assets and liabilities may seem a little cold but it is totally necessary!

If a person does not encourage you to be the very best you can be, they are a liability. If they offer you no help or assistance in times of trouble they are a liability. If they tell you what they think will just shut you up instead of what you NEED to hear they are a liability.

If the person is your personal cheerleader they are an asset. If this person wants nothing but the best for you they are an asset. If this person does things to make you feel special and appreciated they are an asset.

This is especially important in romantic relationships simply because your expectations of a lover are different than that of a friend or a family member. This is the person that you share your most intimate moments with...are they an asset or liability?
